Burnt Lake 4/7

Post by pdxgene » April 7th, 2016, 3:02 pm

Well I saw what I needed to see going to Ramona Falls to figure I should be able to make it on up to Burnt Lake. It was actually pretty darn easy. I've seen more snow up there in June. The track people laid out across the upper open area is too low and will suck when the snow melts more but was fine today. It really needs to be above the trail there, not even or below. But even that wasn't really a problem. Needless to say, it was empty up there. I did see a few groups of 2 as I headed back down from Lost Creek Falls but I'd been out there four hours by then.
Starting the pictures from the middle viewpoint about 1045 as I got up there..

The self timer shot is a little easier here than at Ramona Falls...lol..

The wind was forecast to gust to 20mph but was just a ripple the couple hours I was up there..
