Gorge Ice Celebrations

Post by windmtnpete » December 9th, 2014, 7:26 am

The thaw is nearly complete after plenty of frozen stuff, but nothing compared to the great Gorge ice event of 2012. None the less, the latest ice cube installments offered a thrill for us seekers of some Gorge slippery chills.

Great pics! I love all the various ice formations popping up all over the site this past week. Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures, especially the falls  . Nice rime-covered trees too.

I don't usually go often to see the waterfalls, but when it freezes over like this, imho it's one of the most interesting sights in nature.

Often do I wonder why people flee such a spectacular time of year such this in the Gorge.... when mother nature puts on such an awesome show like no other.
