Beautiful day for a hike. The road to the trail head is in pretty good shape. Only had to pass one decent sized pot hole. Got to the trail head and found this:
Anyone know the story behind it?
The trail was in very good shape. The effects of the 2011 Dollar Lake Fire are still evident.
Plenty of great scenery

I intended to hike the loop down to Eden Park, but I tuckered out and had to settle for a photo.

There's a Robert Behrman in Parkdale, just south of Hood River. I think he's alive. I think he's 60.

I've wondered about that memorial.

Fascinating that this is still there, looking quite fresh (newer sticker?), after all these years. And, apparently, no other information about it anywhere on the 'net? Sure didn't come up with anything quickly. Anyone know any more than no one did six years ago?
