It's "The One" from Gossamer Gear, circa 2009, made from spinnaker. It appears to be a collector's item! I am very happy with it.

Is it waterproof? If it's raining and you touch the inside of the fabric, does it then start leaking there?

Is there a lot of condensation?

Yes, to the best of my knowledge, it's waterproof. I have been in about a dozen rain events in it and it has never leaked or sweated through the fabric. No, it doesn't leak when you touch the fabric from the inside. It does sag when it's wet, but not as badly as silnylon. Condensation is least problematic for this tent, compared to all the single wall tents I have.

Thanks! He was being particularly adorable that morning. After 5 days of being a wilderness dog, he was ready to go back to Portland for some Salt and Straw.

So if I got this right, going in you took the Granite trail into Deer Creek to that junction that is very close to the lower 4 Lakes Loop junction. Then going out you took the Blacks Basin trail from near Deer Creek Camp, right? What condition were these trails in?

And not getting to Echo and those other lakes means you're perfectly set up for a trip up Stoney Ridge or Granite Peak to explore that area. Won't run out of trips there.

Here's the route, by day. We did not end up doing the green route. All of the trails were in excellent condition.

So so cute.. hadn't seen that one of him in the sleeping bag. Ohh my heart, how I'd like to hike and camp with such a great doggie like him!

great TR--appreciate the map you provided as well--always helps so much when exploring new places vs just hearing place-names. Bucket and I will have to venture down there someday.

Ok, that did it. This is the report that finally had the PHiker effect. Next year I'm doing a trip to the Trinitys. I love the Oscar tent pic too! "No, really, I'm seriously not ready to hike yet!"
