Location: Columbia River Gorge, between Mosier and The Dalles
A top destination for spring wildflowers, Tom McCall Point is owned by the Nature Conservancy to protect this place of special ecological significance. All of the meadows and hillsides are covered with yellow balsamroot and blue lupines, with Columbia desert parsley and many other wildflowers, including red paintbrush, blue bachelor buttons and white yarrow.
Panoramic views to both the east and the west of the Columbia River Gorge are visible all along the hike, except when the trail heads through stands of scrub oaks.
