anyone know how the colors are doing up on Silver Star? any other top fall color destinations to consider that won't be under snow? I'm thinking of heading out Wednesday if the forecast holds

The vine maple from Sandy up to Govt Camp was pretty good on Sunday. Better lower, maybe.

I just returned from BC and Alberta (and a short trip to Alaska) and the colors up there are amazing! It was nice to visit national parks that were open...

Anyway, pics to come,but I also wanted to report that the Larch trees near the 4,000' by White Pass are just getting started. About 1,000-2,000' further up they are at peak and moving past.

The weather next weeks looks AMAZING for getting out and hiking!
