I was up there yesterday, too. Did you happen to pass a group of 7 women on your way down from Elk Mountain? If so, that was the group I was with.

Great trip report and it was a truly amazing day. Couldn't have asked for better weather for hiking and views!

Also, we crossed up river a little bit where there was a very large log. It was up pretty high, so a little scary, but certainly more stable!

Whoa, yesterday was definitely the day to be up around Mt Hood. Great pictures and report, Cheryl.

Beautiful! I think it's safe to say that this is a stellar beargrass year in most places that it thrives.

Love the Elephant Head meadow. I wonder how long their season is?
