Holy crap it was windy at Silver Star today.

Post by roadtripmom » May 5th, 2013, 3:37 pm

I started hiking before 7am from Grouse Vista and beat the heat and the crowds. I was home by 11 :D There aren't many blooms yet, but the blue sky was my mood lifter today. Snow covers quite a bit of trail, but route finding is a breeze. I was the first one on the summit today except for a gentleman named Paul who pitched his tent on the platform and tried to sleep through the wind.

I hope everyone got outside this weekend for some sunshine and fresh air.

We had an early morning trip also with windy summit. Isn't it great to have the rest of the day at home following a great hike?!
The mountains are calling and I must go.

Ok, fine. :? Confession #1. :| I have been up there many times and I know the route. Confession #2. :( I followed some tracks this time from the lower summit and ended up bushwacking for a while on the way down. Confession #3. I have never hiked the route you did.

Feel better ? :P
