Wow, a real energetic guy. Looks like he has enough energy to pull you up those steep trails.

Put a pack on that dog, Karl! And a GoPro! He should be good for 10-15 lbs of extra gear with all that energy..!

Here's Pepper, our sweet German Shorthair, at Cape Falcon.
Also, Pepper just happens to be looking for someone to hang out with while her parents do the JMT this summer. She'd really prefer not to be in doggie daycare for that entire time! So if anyone would like a hiking buddy for a while in late August-early September - OR if you know a dog lover who would like a free place to live in Portland for a month (in exchange for making sure Pepper is well loved and well fed) - shoot me a message!
By then we'll have our brand new daylight basement apartment completed. Close to everything (bus, MAX, grocery store) and within walking distance of neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops.
(Hope this is an OK use of this thread. In my experience most of the people on here are exactly the sort of people I'd trust with my baby, so I thought I'd give it a shot!)
Pepper is a good on-leash hiking companion on trails without too many people, as she can be a little skittish around screaming children and sometimes other dogs (some dogs she loves - others not so much). In other words, the Multnomah-Wahkeena loop on a Saturday isn't her favorite hike!

Frannie and Pepper are both good looking dogs. I hope I get to meet them one day.
