Hi everyone - first time poster here.
A friend and I are looking for a moderate hike with camping for 1 night... Thinking about the Eagle Creek to Tunnel Falls hike. We're both comfortable with the distance, elevation, etc... more just wondering what a Sunday night might be like in terms of crowds for the campsites... hoping that even though it's summer, Sunday night shouldn't be too bad?
Any thoughts?
Much appreciated!! Thanks!
Rob
Crowds for camping Eagle Creek on a Sunday night?
Re: Crowds for camping Eagle Creek on a Sunday night?
oh yeah - if anyone cares to suggest an alternate site, we're open to suggestions!!
only caveats - nothing too strenuous (as i mentioned, relatively new to this) and we need to be back in PDX early on Monday morning, so it needs to be close to portland.
kind of thinking for this go-round we might be stuck with some car camping.

Crowds on a Sunday evening wouldn't be too bad at all...most people clear out by Sunday afternoon.

Hey Rob,
My brother in law and myself are thinking of making the same hike in September and we have never been there either. When are you going?

nwhiker - well, we were thinking about this weekend actually. But I just learned that we're probably not going to be able to go now.
thanks for the advice, BCJ - that's what I was hoping to hear...
