Backpacking with my daughter Friday and Saturday in the Opal Creek / Cedar Flats area (A seed you planted a long time ago, thanks Matt!)

Headed to the Metolius River for some relaxation, and then on to Cascade Lakes Highway (Bend) next week, with a final stop at Clear Lake (McKenzie River) for late next week. It's vacation time!!! We have a travel trailer, but spend no time inside except for sleeping and showers! Hiking the Metolius, Carl Lake, and some to be determined day hikes...

Two weeks off!!! We are going to the Olympics to do a cross country traverse from Low Divide to Muncaster Basin in the Burke Range, then back out the Skyline trail!

I can hardly wait!

If anyone is headed to Yokum Ridge on Sunday/Monday they can say hello to the female half of this team and her partner Janet.
