Green Scenes: Rambo Firstblood

Post by mdvaden » June 18th, 2008, 11:12 pm

My son wanted to see the first Rambo movie tonight, which we watched together.

Does anybody know where the outdoor scenes for that were filmed? Particularly the ones where he appears to be near a cliff prior to diving down into a cedar, and later when the national guard men are walking over small boulders alongside a river?

Are those near any trails in Washington or Oregon?

Any other greenspace scenes recognized?

According to the Internet Movie Database http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0083944/ it was filmed in B.C.

Most, if not all of it, was filmed around Hope, BC (about an hour and a half east of Vancouver). The canyon scene, in particular, was shot in the Coquihalla Canyon in and around the Othello Tunnels area, immediately north of the town. The whole area is very easily accessible.
