..."Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer Days of Summer" ... where are folks venturing this weekend?
I'll be joing the Friends of the Gorge for a hike in the Three-Corners Rock area Sunday...

I hiked the lower Larch Mtn. trail yesterday then continued to Nesika. Suprisingly the Mult. Lodge crowd was not bad, and as I hoped - the shady woodsy walk was perfect with the creek offering up cooled breezes...

I'm planning an over-night on Moffett. Perhaps following Nesmith pt up, or more likely Munra point and then descending the stream. Hoping to get some more photos of those incredible falls.

Please post a trip report for the Loowit if possible. I want to head up there on Wednesday and would appreciate any information about road and trail conditions that you could offer. Thanks.

We did not head up Friday night as planned due to house negotiations that lasted into Saturday. Finally headed out of Portland at 3:00 pm Saturday. Hiked up to Chocolate Falls from Marble Mtn and made camp. Sunday morning we watched the Adams fire from camp as well as the parade of climbers. They are still using the Worm Flows winter climbing route. As far as the Loowit goes, looks like there would still be a lot of snow in the trees. Talked to someone who came from June Lake and the trail was hard to follow in the trees. Road to Climber Biv still closed due to snow. Might try it again this weekend.

I might get out top Ramona Falls or Vista Ridge or something on Sunday, but it depends on how beat IO am from Saturday. We have a training burn and drill all day in the heat. If it's 95 again, I'll probably just rest then bring the dogs to the park.
