tick habitat moving up?

I picked up a couple ticks in a grassy area at 3700' today. I've never seen them that high. I don't think I've heard reports of them that high in OR/WA.
I'm thinking about taking up SCUBA diving. I bet the evil little bastards won't follow me there!

There is sea lice (jellyfish larvae) that can cause skin irritations.

And poison oak seemingly moving west. (Or is it just that it invades burned areas?).
