What Trails have been impacted by the fires?
What Trails have been impacted by the fires?
It is still too early for people to get into the burned out areas, but I am hoping to get feedback on what trails were impacted by the recent firestorm. I'm very concerned about the status of the Opal Creek Wilderness and the Bull of the Woods. I'm also wondering about the Mt Jefferson area. It appears that the Mt Hood Wilderness was not hit too bad.

This is helpful in tracking past and present fires with their impact area.
So far, Bull of the Woods isn't in the present fire impact.
It'll be safe to assume that state and federal restrictions will be in place for hiking similar to the 2017 Columbia River Gorge fires, until full damage scope has been assessed.
For example, they will want to know mud slide risks, etc.
Considering the huge amount of burn this year, it will be difficult to enforce restrictions for entry across everything.
