No-Swimming Hot springs

This is an unusual request! I would like to know about any hikes/bushwhacks that go to hot springs that are TOO HOT to swim in. My partner did research on hot springs in grad school and loves hiking to them. He's not doing research anymore, but still appreciates them. It seems like there are a few of the soaking kind south of Mt Hood. Are there any others in the vicinity that are off the beaten track because swimming would be impossible? I'm assuming no, but thought I would ask anyway. We know about Mickey hot springs in southern Oregon, but were hoping for something closer.
