Oregon Hikers

I'm new to Oregon, and I'm trying to plan an overnight backpacking trip with my wife and two kids on the Oregon Coast Trail in spring 2020. Anybody know what our options would be if the hikers camp we want to hit, Tillamook Head, is full? Are we allowed to pitch tents in the area if there's no room in those cabins? Thanks.

If the three shelters are full, you can pitch a tent in the area around them. If it's not a summer or holiday weekend, there is usually space available.
