So I didn't know that Green Trails came out with a large format map for this area ($18). I think the other one we used for years is out of print. Anybody have it and let us know what you think?

Yeah they came out with it a few years ago and we bought it right away because I love Green Trails maps. I like it a lot better than the old Imus Geographics map, plus the GT one is printed on durable waterproof paper.

A Green Trails map is good for the trails, but the Wallowa NF has a great interactive trail map. It shows each trail and its maintenance status, as well as any closures. It's my primary resource in planning my 65 mile trip this summer.

That's awesome, thanks for the link!

For the Wallowas, since they're so large, the paper maps are usually too low magnification to see any kind of terrain features, so I tend to DIY my own maps from Caltopo.
