Wow. I knew there just had to be somebody who came really close.Don Nelsen wrote:101 but maybe a few more I've forgotten about. I'll have to check out the ones I've missed - good list!

We saw a scorpion on the Multnomah Falls trail on June 20. I figured someone had turned it loose, but maybe not?Waffle Stomper wrote:That's one more scorpion than I've seen.fettster wrote: However, you can always find something new on a return to the Gorge. Yesterday I was helping with some trail work along Eagle Creek and saw a scorpion for the first time. Granted, this one was dead, but it was cool to get a look at it up close.

I'm at 54 if you include overlaps. Agreed- great list.

There are some incredible counts here. I'm going to have to get to the gorge more often.

The Friends of the gorge photo request list. Here it is...

Re: How many have you hiked?
I didn't take time to count--so many of the listings are overlaps. But the list did bring home to me that I concentrate on the places closest to my home--basically the ones along the Scenic Highway plus Larch Mountain Crater. Of course these are all a short drive for me and I use them for training hikes (may as well train someplace scenic!). But it's obvious that I need to go farther afield instead of doing the old familiar hikes!
Re: How many have you hiked?
With a quick peruse I came up with 48.
Re: How many have you hiked?
A paltry 40. I have yet to do some of the staples on here (Dog Mountain, Catharine Creek, etc.).
