That might change with the coming heat. That's what happens to hard snow when it is 80 degrees.
2019 Snow Level
Re: 2019 Snow Level
Sure hoping not. We walked maybe five miles across snow yesterday with nothing but trail runners. So nice!

Re: 2019 Snow Level
Wahtum Lake Rd 1310, blocked by snow 2.3 miles out. More than 50% of the last 2.3 miles is also snow free but intermittent drifts are keeping even big trucks at bay for now.
Anthill trail, snow covered except for the exposed view points. Snow on the South Side of Wahtum in the trees is averaging 2' deep, consolidated. Tomlike is melted out, lake is melted out.

Re: 2019 Snow Level
Gorton Creek - Nick Eaton loop: completely melted out. These trails are in need of boots on the ground!
Green Point Mountain: solid 2-4' deep snow pack from just above the switchbacks beyond the Nick Eaton junction to summit (4200-4750'). Easy walking in trail runners yesterday (5/5).

Don't worry Karl, that will all melt this week.

Re: 2019 Snow Level
No worries here. But folks wanting to go there (anytime soon) might want to have some GPS skilz. That plateau is as featureless as Multnomah Basin, maybe even moreso.

Hood now 46% and dropping fast. But note that the Wallowas are still 130% of normal.

Green Canyon Way -- Bare.
Hunchback Mtn Trail -- Bare to ~4800', near the Spring, west of Devils Peak. Soft and deep beyond there on that northeast facing ridge.

Re: 2019 Snow Level
Has anyone hiked Ramona Falls from the RF Trailhead yet this season? I'm wondering about the Sandy River Crossing.
Thanks!
