Eagle Creek Fire video

Post by Couloir » December 13th, 2018, 10:24 am

Just stumbled upon this video recently. It's an interesting documentary into several aspects about the fire, along with some great interviews, that I hadn't seen before. It's about 30 minutes long.

It’s excellent. My sister-in-law helped with it.

Forest on Fire > What great story telling.

The fire had started on September 2, 2017 and two days later I was in the gorge taking video from the Washington side. That was the day the east winds kicked up and the fire took off. Portions of my video was used in Forest on Fire. I'm mentioned in the "additional video footage" end credits. :o

A friend used the video from that day, edited it down to a 4 minute clip, and posted it on Youtube.

Excellent. Very well told. Did make me cry though, reliving the heartbreak I felt at the time.

Thanks for sharing. Semi-related, but man YouTube comments are the worst. I know this isn't a new observation but it never ceases to surprise me.
