alpine lakes

Post by lois » October 8th, 2018, 4:45 pm

Does anyone know of an Alpine Lake in Washington or Oregon that does not have more than about 2-3" of snow on the trail & that's about 7 Miles RT. Or...I can back pack in about 4.5 miles if someone knows what the nighttime lows are around 5500ft

There are a multitude of lakes in the Olallie basin you could backpack into - there are also 3 or 4 on the Red Lake Trail (which connects to the Olallie Basin). I doubt there is any snow there now. Still a bit early for snow at that elevation.

Thank-you for the suggestion. Also...does anyone know what the nighttime temps would be at about 5000ft & the snow expectation in the North Cascades?

you can scroll around and click on any location. Choose a spot with the same elevation as where you're going - it indicates the elevation

lows down to about 30.
