Those trees in the foreground, wasn't that in the devastation zone? I seem to remember a tangle of fallen trees before. It seems to be recovering well.

Jerry, yes, the recovery has been nothing less than amazing. After a solid week of snow in the forecast, there was just a heavy dusting by sunset Saturday, so that's almost all from Sunday I imagine.
Inteteresting to see much less on Hood. Mountains are weird.

I checked the MSH forecast a few hours ago. 100% chance of snow Saturday, less on Sunday. Of course, clearing starting on Monday, but I'm booked solid at work, can't get away next week. 
This is by far the snowiest September I've ever seen. Not in terms of depth/accumulation, but the amazing number of days that there's been a chance of snow in the forecast. I know it's been at least 9 days so far, probably more (I don't watch the forecast obsessively every day).

Here it is on Sunday 10/7. Obviously the last round was pretty much melted, but then it got another light dusting. Must have been Friday, when it was raining in Portland. Seems we always get a few warm days in October, so that will likely melt out again before the first real storm of the season buries it.

St Helens' cap reportedly melted - but this could change again in a few days.
Mt Adams was white down to 8000' +/- on the rocks (some fresh snow on glaciers well below 7000') the weekend of 10.13-14
Melted out by this past weekend (10/20)
Almost looks the like glaciers retreated higher on west side over the last 2 years, but I need to look at old pictures to compare
