Watch the eclipse from Bear Point? Scratch that.
Annual North Sister hike? No.
Annual Black Crater hike? Nope.
Annual Broken Hand hike? Uh-uh.
Fish for cutties in that lakelet within the OLEA? HAHAHAHAHAHA. No.
I was finally - finally! (I've thought about it since 2009 when first hiked in the area) - going to take several days and explore the Separation/Mesa/Sphinx Creek drainages this past September, after the eclipse hullabaloo receded and relative normality in tourist/vacationer numbers on the roads returned.
Negatory.
And now it's snowing so that's that. Onward and upward.
