Waucoma Ridge recreation area

Post by Bosterson » June 8th, 2017, 7:54 pm

Bark says that some fellow named Tom Kloster suggested a recreation area be designated on Waucoma Ridge (which runs south of Defiance, Green Point, and Chinidere), and they are working to implement this in order to protect it from a proposed USFS timber sale. I would like to see that area get some protection but the road closures (conversions) are too extensive for me to support this proposal. I do not want to lose the road to Indian Springs / Indian Mountain, and I see no need to close the road to Ottertail Lake. There are enough side roads to make a good bike park without closing everything to autos. :|
