Lost stuffed seal pup in Jefferson Park!

A 5 year old boy from Corvallis has lost his favorite toy near Bays Lake.
My wife and I saw it stuffed in the rock cairn at the highest point on Park Ridge (Elev 7010) on the PCT. Humorously, we mentioned it to the Wilderness Ranger, Eric Gonnes (sp) as we were leaving yesterday.
Then tonight on Facebook "Lost In Oregon" we saw the post from his mother, Sara Zahn, telling of their loss.
Is there anyone in this group headed that way? Or does anyone have personal contact with Ranger Eric, AKA Thru-hiker "Balls"?

I know Eric personally and sent him a text asking him if he'd picked it up and telling him about the Facebook post with the mom's name. Hopefully we can get this seal pup home!

I'm not around much any more, but just happened to look in today.

I have Eric's email address and just sent him an email about the seal. Unless he's changed email address in the last year, he will now know about it (at least when he gets out of the wilderness).

EDIT: OK, that's two notifications he's getting!

Just got a reply from Eric, he has the pup!!! He had me send her a message via Facebook, however I'm not in the "lost in oregon" group so if someone could also post a reply to her there telling her to check her "other" messages inbox for instructions on how to get the pup back from Eric that would be awesome!

Just got an email from Eric. He sent me a cute pic of the seal, which I can't seem to post here. I'm not on Facebook, but if someone will PM me their email address, I'll send it. Eric says now that he knows someone wants the seal back, he'll carry it inside his pack where it will be safe!
