Enchanted Valley Chalet--going, going

It looks as though the historic Enchanted Valley Chalet in the Olympics may soon be gone, per this post on nwhikers.net:

Wow, that is sad. That is such a cool looking building. So based on my below picture from June 2011, the river now runs where the closer tree used to be. Nature is powerfull!

What a shame. I hope that Olympic National Park will do what it can to save the building.

Interesting post. I haven't been up there for 15 years or so and the river's channel was not anywhere near the chalet. The river must have taken back to the former river bed and swept away the trees and now the bank. That's a shame, the chalet in the valley had that Sound of Music quality about it.
