2014 TKO/PH.org Calendar Submission Sampler - Part 1

Okay, folks -- hopefully, you've got seven of your best images ready to send to Jamie for our annual calendar contest! But it always helps to see a few samples of what people are submitting, so this thread is the place to do it -- don't be shy!

To get things rolling, here are some of my favorite images from 2013 -- starting with a photo from a New Years Day snowshoe hike near Bennett Pass:



A picture from my memorable, post-thunderstorm trip into Blue Basin:



The scene at Elk Cove in early August on my annual pilgrimage:

Though now that I think of it I need to get that lupine filled upper meadow of Canyon Creek Mdws in there somewhere.

Not really, Peder -- Jamie hasn't picked one of my submissions for the last two years...! I'm starting to develop a complex...

On the other hand, maybe if I submitted one of my "Pokin' around" images, it would be impossible to resist...? Er... maybe not... we don't want to morph this into a racy "The Hikers of Portland" calendar..!

Not sure about this, do they want trail images, scenic views, people in the pictures.

Don't listen to me, I am the most ignorant photo guy on this site. Anyhow I love the milkyway and the fourth to second last shots. So conventional wisdom would probably be not to submit those! That show shoe & Mt Hood picture gets me every time I see it.

I've gone on so many hikes this year and I still haven't looked through a lot of my photos. Maybe it's time I do that...
