>Does anybody have an idea (guess?) of the snow levels on Tanner Butte right now in the >Gorge, between Dublin Lake and the Tanner Butte viewpoint?

Can answer my own question above...
I lead a hike up to Tanner Butte viewpoint Saturday Jan-18-2014. Karl's TR made me do it (grin). Even after the storms from the previous weekend, snowshoes were not needed. 1 foot of packed snow in very short sections above 4000 ft elevation leading to the Tanner Butte viewpoint (4500 ft elevation).

Thanks Karl for the Tanner Butte TR! We did your loop (including the offtrail ascent - fantastic!) and were able to eat lunch at the viewpoint...in winter!

Nice! :D

To be sure, though... It was Nat and Brad doing the routing on that one. I just happily followed along. :)

I took some pictures from the airplane on my way down to Fresno this weekend. Not much snow.

5-6 inches of new snow at 4000' on Hunchback Ridge on Saturday - trail is easy to see/follow (I went up Green Canyon trail to Hunchback junction). Looks like it was zero snow before last week's storm, bare ground with no ice under powdery stuff, great to walk on.

Hunchback trail. I didn't go further. Looks like quite a bit of blowdown there, not much snow

About 6-12" accumulation from 1-31-14 snowfall in Barlow Butte/Mineral Jane ski areas.

Looking @ Barlow Butte:

I am going to go out on a limb and say that today's snow level is sea level.

And thank goodness for that, provided you make it home from work safely.
