Looking for backpackers on or near Mt. Rainier:

I intend to hike on or near Mount Rainier for some days this August or September, and seek to join a group doing a backpacking trip from 3 to 7 days long. This will be my first visit to Mt. Rainier. Almost any route that is scenic will be fine.

I have backpacking experience on Mt. Saint Helens and in the Oregon Cascades. I belong to two hiking clubs, one being the Chemekatans of Salem, OR.

If you are interested in backpacking near Mt. Ranier, let's talk. I am a meteorologist (can help you with reading the clouds, or figuring out the weather).
