Just when you start watching the news and reading the headlines and feel your faith in humanity starting to wane, you go to Mirror Lake for a sunset shoot and forget to put your Northwest Forest Pass on the dash and come back to find a placard under your windshield. And you think to yourself, oh well, it was a great hike and view and worth whatever the darned ticket's for. Only later in the light of day, you discover that it wasn't a ticket at all but a day pass from a kind soul who considerately didn't want you to get ticketed for your absent-mindedness.
To that kind soul(s) who placed their pass on my windshield this past Monday, my sincere thanks. I was just about speechless.
Also, if anyone lost the sunglasses below on that trail around that time, shoot me message.
Have a great Friday and weekend, everybody!
