Getting Google Earth errors fixed

Post by alanecharlesworth » June 3rd, 2016, 7:49 am

Had anyone had any luck in getting Google top fix peak name errors in Google Earth. The attached screen shot shows three amusing errors in the Gorge

Nesmith Point is mislabeled as Beacon Rock
Table Mountain is mislabeled as Aldrich Butte
An unnamed point on the ridge above Shellrock Mtn is mislabeled as Wind Mtn

Google has an elaborate mechanism for Google Maps errors, but Google Earth has only a Send Feedback menu selection, which they have so far ignored

Typically you go here
https://www.google.com/mapmaker
and change them

Sometimes other users can approve the changes, other times a moderator has to. We can agree to approve each other's changes because I have some changes sitting for months now.

EDIT: Sorry that's for Maps, not sure where Earth gets it's data from, but it seems like it's not from the same database :P
