Entire Gorge Mapset?

Post by kirsty » November 19th, 2015, 10:30 pm

Hello there!

Does anybody have a gpx mapset of the Gorge they'd be willing to share? I could have sworn I have seen posts on these forums to the effect of "I hiked every trail in the Gorge; made a GPS track of every trail in the Gorge; click here to see it!". But I've tried searching the forums to no avail.

Any help you could provide would be appreciated! Please tell me I wasn't just dreaming about it :?

Thanks,

Kirsty

I'm currently in the process of updating OpenStreetMap in the Gorge. I could use a resource like this too.

Um, it's been a while but I recently updated "almost all" of the trails in the gorge on OpenStreetMap.

Here's a Gorge mapset made by a forum poster that includes lots of abandoned trails, etc. as well. Another good source, besides OSM, is gpsfly.org. Many of us post there, and you can search for anything in particular by typing something like "ramona + gsfly.org" into your browser.

But is there an easy way to turn those into GPX files?

Yeah, give 'em to Eric Peterson, a forum poster :)

all I see when I open OpenStreetMap is something similar to Google Maps with no option to download anything
