Well if you like baseball today is the last chance to see professional baseball in Portland.
Thanks to a dysfunctional city council and a joke for a mayor, today is it. I've never lived in a place where a handful of elite architects could have such an influence on city policy. Otherwise there'd be a new stadium rising from the ashes of the dump known as Portland Memorial Coliseum. If the people that attented events there could only see what the rest of us see there they would have that place torn down in a minute. One perfect example: they still use working rotary phones in there. You know, the ones with the little dially thingys on them.. What a joke. Too bad the joke is on the people of Portland.
RIP baseball in Portland. It's been a fun ride....
