If you want to see how a flash flood can carry debris, even boulders, check out this video. I am told that this washed out a section of the PCT too. This is in the Whitewater Canyon of the San Bernadino Mountains.

Isn't Dr Reed Timmer a tornado chaser as seen on TV?

Most of the time you see all this debris covering pretty much all of the Mojave desert. And Eastern Oregon. Interesting to see one of the rare moments it's actually being carried around

He's one of them! His Youtube live streams of tornado chases this year were pretty epic. If there is severe weather, this guy will be there.

I admit that I've watched tornado chaser TV shows on occasion.
