I squished my first mosquito of the year yesterday afternoon, about 1000' east of the Angel's Rest trailhead en route to Multnomah Falls. I had pulled over to attempt in vain to clamp the camera mount onto the handlebar, when it landed on my hand. I swatted it off and it landed on the bike's Trail Tech "Striker" telemeter, which now has mosquito guts smeared across it that I haven't cleaned off yet.

So, it's not even summer yet and they're already out, at least in the gorge.
