Cooling membrane... how would you use it for hiking gear?

I'd love to see reversible wind jackets with this stuff. One direction would reflect your own internal heat back at you and the other direction could cool you down in hot weather.

A reversible tarp/rainfly would be similarly nice.

That would be the perfect application if it can go into a flexible fabric. The irony is that a house with high R-value insulation won't work as well if the insulation keeps the heat from reaching the coating.

Part of the irony is that it should also stick on your skin to actually work well from a cooling jacket perspective, for similar reasons.
