HWY26 So what Changed?
Re: HWY26 So what Changed?
One day I'll get to drive on Highway 20 and I'll get to Newport in 45 minutes instead of 55. I can dream. Its only been a decade in the works.

I thought that was open now, highway 20 to Newport
I occasionally drive it my RV. I'm tired of angry people behind me honking. The new route will be much better. The section that is replaced was (is?) very narrow and curvy.

Re: HWY26 So what Changed?
I heard it was slated to be completed in September, but the ODOT website says its still under construction, but will no longer be closed at night anymore. I haven't traveled to Newport since August, so I don't know the present state of it. But this is all a derailment (ha) of the original topic of this thread.
