This is what some people do in lockup:

Over 60 jigsaw puzzles, most 1,000 pieces or more, about 100 books, a lot of home improvement projects. The picture only shows what I'm still deciding whether to donate or keep. Most have already gone to Goodwill or friends who like puzzles. And this doesn't begin to address all the old Netflix, Showtime, etc. series I'd not seen (I have no TV or Cable) that I bought on E-bay. An interesting year, indeed!

I've made many trips to Goodwill the last couple years. Smaller house, get rid of junk.

Too much though, I look at it and find something else to do.

Yeah, I hit Goodwill a couple of times a month. Trouble is, I go into the store and often find more junk to take home. Usually books or videos, though, and they end up going back eventually.

Yes, I did all those puzzles, but Kelly helped with many of them. I hadn't done a puzzle in decades and they've gotten much better in quality of construction and variety. Can't hike every day!

yeah, that's the problem with taking stuff to Goodwill, tendency to get more stuff as replacement

I have eclectic tastes but tend towards adventure novels, Sci-Fi, and history.

This past year, I’ve re-read most of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The movies were great but there is so much more in the books.

Anything by Preston & Child. Especially the Agent Pendergast series. I’ve read them all. I've read all the rest of their books, too, and they are all good adventure novels.

Empire of the Summer Moon by S.C. Gwynne. Excellent history of the Comanche and their greatest leader Quanah Parker.

Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series. Well written adventure novels.

Anything by Simon Winchester, especially his later books. Interesting and engagingly written history.

Cussler’s Sam & Remi Fargo series.

Jared Diamond: Upheaval is new and especially relevant to today’s world. Also Collapse and Guns, Germs and Steel. Older books, but very good.

I could go on but it's too much thread drift as it is.

I re-read Lord of the Rings recently. First time was 50 years ago.

Know what else people did in 2020? Alcohol!
Today, balloon hunting was my drinking game. Find a balloon, drink a beer.
As my beers were approx 12%abv, I'm happy to report I found just two balloons.

I also did a comparison of those two, a couple weeks ago. I think the consensus was the porter was superior. I'm saving the bottle I got of the 2020 bourbon barrel quad, as it generally improves with a little age.

The real question is how do you get those up to the ideal drinking temp out in the snow...?
