I also did a comparison of those two, a couple weeks ago. I think the consensus was the porter was superior. I'm saving the bottle I got of the 2020 bourbon barrel quad, as it generally improves with a little age. :D

The real question is how do you get those up to the ideal drinking temp out in the snow...? :?
Warning: beer discussion ahead, no balloon fun.
I actually preferred the stout. Today, I ended up blending them, because I just wasn't much in the mood for getting all fussy and analytical about it.
The guy at the counter when I bought the stout/porter sixer was shocked at how high the price was, which I thought was funny. Boulevard is pretty reasonable. Unless you're comparing it to Coors Lite.
Regarding temperature, it was pretty mild today. I don't generally carry a thermometer, but it felt about 50-ish. Did I ever tell you about the time a BBA stout froze on me? Savagely cold day.
I like the Boulevard BBA Quad.

Chip, no whoopie cushion balloon today. This one exceeded my expectations. On Archer.

I like how the crinkled balloon matches the surface of the ice.

I saw the football and wondered if it was a super bowl theme, but nope. Still, not bad.

Pretty, but not a balloon.

Although this was very fresh with no degradation, the blue coating rubbed off and made a mess on everything it touched. By the time I realized it, I already had smurf hands.

Today, for the first time, I found a balloon that was still buoyant. It was grounded by a balloon on the same ribbon which was almost completely deflated, and therefore no longer buoyant. (If I were to separate them, the fuller balloon would have floated away.)

Also found a boring plain silver balloon. Spotted it from so far away, I couldn't be sure it was a balloon, even with binoculars.

Left them here for the amusement of subsequent hikers or powerline crew.

With a fresh coating of snow just a couple days old, it would be unreasonable to hope for a balloon on my outing today, right?
But there she was, all shinybright and waiting for me.

Because I'm not posting a TR, this pic shall also serve as my beer journal for today.
