Happy Birthday!
Re: Happy Birthday!
A goodbye balloon, hand-written. I left it. Would have felt wrong to send it to a landfill.

I wonder how many I passed by today and didn't notice. Here's what I did see:
Re: Happy Birthday!
Hey, what's that shiny thing down in that dry waterfall? Let's find out.

Okay, Bos, I have to ask. Where was that? To my eye, it has a MSH look to it, but I've been so obsessed with MSH this year that any alpine pic looks like it was taken there. If it was MSH, I can't place it more specifically.
Oh, BTW, why no close-up pic?

Windy Pass. No close up pic because the balloon itself wasn't very interesting, just its view.

All the lady balloons love Ben. (These were both on Larch, 2 weeks apart - note the regressive change in snow conditions!)

There we go. It's been quite a balloon dry spell. I found a ribbon a couple days ago, but the balloon was nowhere to be found.
Yeah, weird. I've experienced the same thing. I think the most snow I ran into this year was around late Nov, or maybe the first couple days of Dec. Any day now, we're due for the first real snow of the season, and I'll be forced down into the gorge for a couple-three months. (I already have some plans for crazy offtrail shenanigans).
