They are evil creatures, but caught in the right light, a tick can be lovely:

Lovely. But still evil.

All the lipstick in the world . . .

You're confusing "colorful" with "beauty." If I saw something that big (the magnified verision) I'd run and exclaim, "Run, the big pink monster is chasing me and wants all of my blood." I would not be likely to just stand there and admire the arachnid.

Re: The beauty of the tick
Wow! I just found a tick trying to burrow into my arm next to my elbow
It had a pretty good hold, hard to scrape it off, but finally I got it. Left a tiny mark so it penetrated the skin. It's crawling around inside a sealed plastic container now.
I wonder if I should see a doctor.
I'm at the coast. Florence. Siuslaw Marina RV park. I've been walking around on paved surfaces. I might have walked through some grass, but just barely. Better do a more thourough search.
We brought a bunch of roses with us from the yard. Maybe there was a tick on them. I saw an earwig.

CDC says to remove tick
If you get rash or fever within a couple weeks go see doctor.
I guess I'll do that

Re: The beauty of the tick
I think the really nasty tick diseases generally aren't passed to you until the tick's been latched on for a day or two. They feed during that time and then regurgitate some stuff into you at the end. That's why nightly tick checks are important. It's also why you don't want to squeeze an attached tick, or burn it, or put alcohol on it, or smear it with vaseline, or do anything else that might upset its stomach. Just slowly and carefully pull it loose.
