It's hiking on each day of the year, but it may take several years

If you lived next to a nice hiking place it would be possible to do every day of a year, but that would be an effort. Especially if you were sick or something.

My records are spotty before 2004. I may be able to find a few more but currently I'm 61 days short.

Every single day would be a stretch, especially if you wanted variety. I guess if you were independently wealthy and living in a van.

One thing I learned was on those sick days, I woke up saying "ugh, I don't want to hike today!" And I hated that feeling. So that's why I delayed the project. I didn't like the idea of turning something I loved so much into work.

But other days I enjoyed the challenge of saying, oh I have a 4 hour gap between appointments, what can I do in that time? I also did some really incredible early morning hikes to catch sunrise and then blast back home to get to work on time, just to squeeze something in on a given day.

I'm psyched to see you all getting the idea lodged in your heads... :)

You don't have to be wealthy to live in a van :)

Alex Honnold lives in a van, at least some of the time

Yeah, that could get like work if you had to do it every day

A fun project! I'm missing only two days but I've lost most of '12 and '13 so can't be sure. Had to go back a few years for some dates:
