If you can't handle Eagle Creek's cliff and cable combination or the thought of heading up Half Dome gives you the heebie-jeebies, might I suggest you skip this day trip...

Puppy Cam Reunion!

Post by Grannyhiker » May 28th, 2009, 6:47 pm

For those who fell in love with the Shiba Inu Puppy Cam last fall, this evening two of the pups, Ando and Ayumi, are having a live reunion. They are almost 8 months old now, not much smaller than the adult dogs in the family, but they still act like pups. You may have to wait a while for them to show up on camera, since they have the run of the house and yard. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/shiba-inu-puppy-cam

EDIT: If you happened to be watching about 9 pm, the third dog (with no collar) was Kika, their mother. The two other adult dogs in the family, Yuuki and the devilishly handsome Haru, didn't make an appearance while I was watching.

I found a new forum for NW photographers. It's just starting out it looks like.

The animated knots one is fun.

http://animatedknots.com/

Check the knot list from the menu. Then just pick a knot and move your cursor over the numbers for slow replay.

If you share the link, it appears that the "www" needs to be omitted from the URL, or the graphics may not work right.

I discovered this blog a couple of months ago. It's called Up in Alaska: http://arcticglass.blogspot.com/

It's one of those blogs that's so good, you go back to the beginning of it and read it as a book. It starts out as a "normal" blog about the doings of a Utahan cum Alaskan journalist. However, it soon morphs into this amazing cycling blog when she decides to take up snow biking and endurance racing. The writing is excellent. The landscape shots that she posts of Alaska are truly gorgeous.
