After a long dry spell, I found three balloons Wednesday off-trail while exploring the north side of Larch Mt.

Balloon hunting in the snow is tough, unless they're new arrivals, in which case the snow makes them easier to spot.

mountainkat is still in the lead for 2022, but I'm closing the gap. I actually spotted this when I stepped out of my car, maybe 30 yards away. Looked like it could have been a silver inverted chip bag, but as I drew closer I saw ribbon.
