Funny this...I just "walked" the trail from west to east on last Weds. All's well....seems some "helpers" have been shining up the trail signs, and I noticed a new-to-me gravestone to a pet named Mitzie.
Long live the Perdition!

According to the Oregonian archives, they mention the new Perdition Trail in the July 13, 1919 edition. The trail suffered destruction (slides, rockfall, fires) in '66, '69, '91, and the big staircase tumble of '96. A shame that one of Oregon's most-visited areas isn't beloved enough by the powers that be to get this fixed.

Thanks for the pictures, Splinty!
