Tom, when Interstate 84 superseded the old highway, did the use that bridge for the new freeway? Or did they tear it down and build a new one?

Surprisingly, it was modified in the 1950s when the old highway became I-80N, and existed in its widened form until 1997, when ODOT replaced it with a new structure. A sister structure built in the 1960s -- this bridge was upgraded for seismic stability in 1997, when the 1915 bridge was replaced.

Great pictures of the McCord Creek Bridge (and some nice info that I had not heard before, having moved here in 2002, I missed the bridge project)...

You said that ODOT released these photos recently as a part of the trail dedication and I was wondering where you tracked them down?

I am always keeping my eyes open for these sorts of photos and I haven't had a chance to contact Kristen or Robert at ODOT myself to see if they'd be able to share their historical material with me yet.
