Punch Bowl Falls (1918) - "divil a bit" of a kick in it

9:45 Eagle Creek Trail dress code was enforced

10:30 Divil a Bit

Also, look very carefully at around 1:15 to see trouble makers of 100 years ago scrambling up on stuff.

You are welcome, glad you enjoyed it! I found the footage of the campers at Eagle Creek and the crowds on the trail itself very interesting. And of course the fisherman at Wahtum Lake was cool as well.

That was fun! Thanks for posting it. I liked the dude smoking as he hiked up Eagle Creek. Also, I think a few of the waterfalls shown were identified incorrectly Latourell Falls and Bridal Falls....but I'll leave that to the experts on this forum to confirm.

The Internet Movie Database has an entry on this film Link

It seems that this travelogue can be found on this 3-DVD set

That can be purchased on Amazon for $25.14!

@ 7:40, they begin to protect the car from clouters. Did they once call the Eagle Creek trail, the Wonder Trail?

The introductory card refers to the "Oregon National Forest." What was that?

The Oregon National Forest is what the Mt. Hood National Forest used to be called. When the Forest Service decided that no national forest could use a state name in its name, the name changed to what it is now in 1924.
