USGS has a new way to find historical topos

Post by vibramhead » May 6th, 2015, 10:18 am

USGS has just unveiled a historical map viewing tool that allows one to easily find and download topos dating back to the 1890s. It's worth watching the brief training video before using the viewer. Also, because it was just announced, it seems like the servers are pretty overloaded for the moment, so it might run slowly.
Time spent hiking will not be deducted from your life.
