Gnarl Ridge Grave...?

Post by Splintercat » November 22nd, 2013, 10:35 am

I was digging through some photos from 2009, and ran across a bunch that I'd taken of the interior of Cloud Cap Inn. Among them was an older-looking topo map that had this intriguing detail near the old shelter - and apologies for the crappy image:

The fact that the shelter is shown as "ruins" suggests the map is more recent - I'm not really sure when the shelter collapsed, but I'm guessing more like the 1950s or 60s. No idea on that. But the "grave" is clearly marked as across the trail and just down the slope a bit. It's very gentle terrain in there, so it seems like somebody might have spotted this more recently, while poking around.

Thought I'd post to see what turns up!

-Tom :)
